About Mark Crocker

Mark is a Brisbane based photographer working in all areas of commercial photography, publication, portraiture and events.

Mark has a background in visual arts, having worked in painting and community arts for many decades. He studied at Chiron College in Sydney, followed by the Victorian College of the Arts.

As Mark's artwork evolved, he employed silk-screen and photography into the painting process. In 2003 Mark decided to move into photography, now his preferred medium.

Mark specialises in publication, portraiture and event photography.

His editorial work has appeared in a variety of publications and exhibitions.

Highlights of the last few years are:

'Wild Tea Cosies' by Loani Prior, Simon & Schuster
Glass House Mountains Visitor and Interpretive Centre
Bribie Island Seaside Museum
'The creek in our backyard' and '2008 Weed Calendar' published by Save Our Waterways Now Inc.

Mark's portrait work covers corporate and private commissions as well as personal projects. Corporate clients include RACQ, ToadShow and AXCEN Consulting Services.

'Portraits of a Tea Cosy' was exhibited at The Powerhouse Museum, Sydney 2010.

His event photography includes commissions for the Queensland Government, RACQ, SOWN Inc, Brisbane City Council and various schools.
